Have you ever been in a room and felt the energy build when 100 remarkable women join forces through inspiring and entertaining activities? That’s what’s in store at the Mills Red Tent.

Each guest will enjoy two break-out sessions, a silent auction, and end the day with a not-to-be-missed Spring Fashion Show. For those so inspired, The Shops at Mills will stay open for purchases after the event.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS (choose two):

1.    How to Look Amazing in Photos…Any Photo

Professional make up artist Audrey Parker and renowned photographer Sue Siri have joined forces to teach you the tricks of looking your best, actually better, in photos. Whether shot by a professional or from an iphone, you will learn make up and photography “must knows” that will make you look better than the original girl in the frame. Oh, not to mention, there will be a quick Photo Shop lesson. Double Chin? What double chin? Say Cheese…

2.    Yoga – www.theshala.ca
Experience a Red Tent Ashtanga yoga class designed for all levels at Ashtanga Yoga Shala a beautiful space newly located upstairs at Mills. The fundamentals of Ashtanga yoga are introduced and practiced. Breath awareness and alignment are emphasized while learning Sun Salutations, the standing poses of primary series and the final three poses of the Finishing Sequence. Suitable for those new to Ashtanga, but even experienced practitioners can benefit from the increased attention placed on these fundamental poses of the sequence.

3.    Dante: Everything you want to know about hair… from The Master.
Experience an interactive session with Master Stylist and Instructor Dante Di Mattia and his team of Master Stylists. Here you will learn the latest colour techniques, the perfect cut to frame your face shape, and the latest up and coming style trends. Our stylists will also teach you the perfect at home blow dry to achieve that salon style.

4.    Java Time & The Grapes of Wrath
Join The Daily Grind & Harvest Wines and Spirits as they team up to provide an interactive session starting with some java and ending with some Spring and Summer spirits! Unlock the mystery of the perfect cup of java. The Daily Grind will lead you through a tasting of a few of their fine javas and show you how to perfect the elusive perfect cup of cappuccino. Next, we’ll show you how to add some pizzazz to your coffee featuring specialty liqueurs from Harvest Wines & Spirits. Then, we’ll cool things off with a tasting of Italian Sodas mixed with flavourful spirits to create you new favourite summer drink! Next we’ll dive into some smooth summer smoothies. And last, but not least, we’ll finish off the session with some of Harvest Wines & Spirits favourite wine and bubbly paired with seasonal cheeses.

5.    David’s Tea

6.    Everything you need to know about anti-aging
Are you curious about all the anti-aging treatments you are bombarded with in the media?  Would you like to learn more about Botox, fillers, laser resurfacing and skincare products? Helen Ormston owner of Gentle Touch Spa & Laser Centres will discuss and present information on these services in a straight forward and informative presentation, designed to provide you with a balanced perspective on what works and what doesn’t in this ever changing industry. This is an opportunity to learn more about treatments you may have considered, about the effectiveness of these technologies and see some real life examples of their success.
All attendees will receive a $50 gift towards laser services at Gentle Touch Spa and Laser Centres with a special offer also available for those considering injectible services. Helen Ormston owner of Gentle Touch Spa & Laser Centres has over 15 years in the medi spa business opening the first laser clinic in Atlantic Canada in 1998.
